HAE Awareness Programme
The HAE Awareness Programme was launched today, an online interactive training programme aimed to increase awareness of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). Developed by an Editorial Board of HAE Experts and supported by an unrestricted educational grant from CSL Behring Ltd, www.hae-awareness.net was launched at the 29th Congress of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) where delegates were among the first to trial a demonstration of the educational resource. CSL Behring UK Ltd Marks World Haemophilia Day with Factor IX Donation to World Federation of Haemophilia
Haemophilia B patients in the developing world will benefit from a recent donation of 1 million international units (IU) of factor IX medication made by CSL Behring to the World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH). The donation, channelled through WFH’s United Kingdom chapter, marks World Haemophilia Day 2010 and will support WFH’s progress in improving the diagnosis and treatment of haemophilia in developing countries through its Global Alliance for Progress (GAP) programme. CSL Behring marks World Haemophilia Day with $2 million US Dollar Donation to World Federation of Haemophilia
In recognition of the World Federation of Haemophilia’s (WFH) progress in improving the diagnosis and treatment of haemophilia in developing countries through its Global Alliance for Progress (GAP) programme, CSL Behring has committed to donating to the WFH two million units of factor VIII concentrate each year for the next three years. The donation, the total value of which will be approximately $2 million US dollars, will be made using coagulation factor concentrate with a minimum shelf-life of one year. More.
