CSL Behring UK Ltd supports Rare Disease UK
UK Patient group campaigns for strategic planning for rare diseases
UK — 31.03.2010
CSL Behring UK Ltd announced today that it had joined the patient group Rare Disease UK as an industry member. The patient group campaigns for strategic planning for rare diseases in the UK in response to unmet health care needs of hundreds of thousands of families who currently struggle to get access to integrated care and support from the NHS.
CSL Behring has a natural affinity with the patient group due to its current product portfolio which treats and manages a range of rare diseases including haemophilia and other coagulation disorders, immune deficiencies as well as helping to prevent haemolytic disease of the newborn.
By joining Rare Disease UK as an industry member, CSL Behring hopes to add its weight to the campaign for better planning and management for rare diseases and greater support for those patients affected by these conditions.
